What is Acne?
Acne is a widespread skin condition. Acne occurs when sebum and dead skin cells become trapped in the skin’s pores. During puberty, sebaceous glands enlarge and become active, which is why many teenagers have acne. However, many people remain “oily” and have breakouts throughout their lifetime. If you produce too much oil, dead skin cells accumulate in your pores, and bacteria can build up, leading to papules, pustules, and cysts. Breakouts will happen because bacteria grow in clogged pores that the oil can’t escape. Furthermore, the bacteria can lead to inflammation leaving the skin red and irritated. How Does Hollywood Spectra Peel Work?
First, we apply a layer of patented Spectra lotion to your skin. The lotion is carbon-based, so it resembles a mud mask. Once the carbon lotion is dry, the laser is moved over your skin to heat the carbon lotion. Then the settings are changed to vaporize the carbon. Because the carbon lotion seeps into the pores, the laser will target the pores and help remove debris with a fine layer of dead skin cells.
