What is eMatrix?

eMatrix RF is a non-laser skin rejuvenation treatment that can be used on all skin types without the risk of post-treatment hyper-pigmentation that you see with laser treatments. It utilizes Radio Frequency energy and delivers it the dermis (deep) layer of the skin in order to produce significant deep tissue improvements with very minimal impact on the epidermis (outer layer). Because you are bypassing the epidermis and delivering the energy at a deeper level, the problems associated with pigmentation are reduced to a minimum.

We can work to customize a treatment plan and decide how how mild or aggressive you want your treatments to be, depending on the desired results and the amount of social downtime you are able to have. In other words, we can achieve more intense results with more aggressive treatment and more social downtime or opt for mild treatments with only a day or two downtime spread out over more sessions – whatever works better for your schedule and lifestyle.

Is eMatrix painful?

Many patients compare the sensations to the snap of a rubber band. Patients will have the treated area numbed with a topical anesthetic, heavy duty pain medication is not needed for this procedure. Depending on the area being treated, the session can last from 10 to 20 minutes.

What about downtime?

Downtime is variable. Mild treatments may necessitate a couple of days of social downtime (where you’ll be red with possible slight swelling). More aggressive treatments equal more downtime. You will not be restricted from activity, but the redness and mild crusting will probably be obvious enough you will wish to stay home – or refrain from social activities.
