Botox Results: How Long Will They Last?
Botox results typically last about three to four months, depending on how the patient responds to their injection. While this is a bit of a shorter time frame than other anti-aging injectables, it does mean that you won’t be stuck with results you don’t like for a long period of time.
Interestingly, people who receive regular Botox injections report seeing their results last longer (6+ months). It’s thought that this effect is due to the muscles’ responses to Botox, as the injection “trains” the muscles to stop frequent contractions (like what happens when you squint or frown).
If you want to prolong your Botox results, we recommend the following:
- Avoid the gym for the first 48 hours after your treatment, as excessive body temperatures can cause the Botox formula to spread.
- Wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
- Don’t use harsh skin care products during the first week after your Botox treatment, as you may not know how they’ll interact with your results.
- Use an experienced Botox administrator who knows where to inject your treatments for the best results!
